Education
Toni holds a degree in Early Childhood Education from Vanier College. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in sociology with a minor in psychology from Concordia University.
Professional Experience
Toni is a certified Early Childhood Educator, pre-school teacher and after-school coordinator. As a private educator, she coordinates and writes Individual Educational Plans (IEPs) and year-end reports with teachers. She also adapts students’ school material to their individual level.
Toni has been trained in the TEACCH method and she adapts this model to incorporate play in everyday life. She also has training in Relationship Development Intervention (RDI).
Toni has also been working at a private elementary school, as well as at the Canadian Institute for Neuro-Integrative Development in Montreal, also known as Giant Steps. Toni has also worked both privately and through Giant Steps as an inclusion educator. She continues to work with clients diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADD/ADHD, Sensory Integration Dysfunction, and non-verbal learning disabilities.
