Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD)

Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD)

Oppositional Defiant Disorder is characterised by an ongoing pattern of rebellious, negativistic, defiant, and hostile behaviour toward authority figures. Children with this disorder may present as negative, unable to take “no” for an answer, resistant to directions, and unwilling to compromise, give in, or negotiate with adults or peers. Children with ODD may deliberately annoy others, become easily annoyed themselves, or blaming others for all that goes wrong.
