Education


Joanne completed her Bachelors of Science in Physiotherapy with great distinction, and her Master’s of Science in Rehabilitation at McGill University.
 

Professional Experience


Joanne has many years of experience working with a diverse clientele, in both the public and private sectors. She was the head of the Physiotherapy department at the Shiner’s Hospital for Children, where she was responsible for developing programs, supervising staff and providing treatment to a wide range of clients. Joanne has a wealth of experience providing clinical services to children with orthopaedic as well as neurological conditions, including Cerebral Palsy and Osteogenesis Imperfecta.


Joanne has much research experience. She has published studies on Osteogenesis Imperfecta, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida as well as other articles on a variety of pediatric topics.


In addition, Joanne has lectured at McGill University and presented on a host of pediatric topics in Canada, the USA, Europe and South America. She has been a representative for various associations, including: the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, the Ordre professsionnel de la physiothérapie du Québec, and the Spina Bifida Continuum.
