Elimination disorders (enuresis and encopresis)
Enuresis

It is an elimination disorder which is characterised by the voiding of urine in the day and/or at night at an older age that what is expected developmentally (typical mental age of approximately five years is employed as a guide). Also to qualify for a diagnosis of enuresis the voiding of urine has to occur at a certain frequency and last for a certain amount of time.

Encopresis

Encopresis is another elimination disorder which involves the repetitive passage of feces in places other than the toilet by children who have usually already been toilet trained.
