Education
Dr. Stella Benarroch graduated with a Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton. Her doctoral internship was completed in the Department of Clinical Health Psychology in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Manitoba. Prior to that, Dr. Benarroch earned a Master of Arts in Applied Psychology from the University of New Brunswick and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from McGill University.
Professional Experience
Dr. Benarroch provides psychological services to children, adolescents, and families . Over the course of her career, Dr. Benarroch has had the privilege of offering assessment and treatment services in three Canadian provinces in a variety of clinical settings, which include medical and psychiatric hospitals, schools (private, public, and specialized), private practices, as well as detention centres. Dr. Benarroch devotes much of her time and energy to working with children with developmental disabilities.
Dr. Benarroch is qualified to diagnose Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
Dr. Benarroch’s has taught university level courses and conducted extensive child-related research. She has presented her research findings at conferences in both Canada and the United States.
Dr. Benarroch provides clinical services within a cognitive, behavioural and developmental framework. She has been involved in mentoring psychologists and students throughout her years of practice.
Professional membership
Dr. Benarroch is a member of the Ordre des Psychologues du Québec and the Canadian Psychological Association.
